Kidman Says I Quit

Friday, December 19th, 2008

After getting a severe Ass Whipping by the critics for her latest roll in Australia, 41 year old actress Nichole Kidman says she will call it quits. Kidman says she’s leaving Hollywood to focus on raising her family.

Nichole Kidman – Hugh Jackman

The film with People Magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” Hugh Jackman was blasted by the critics. In the film, the Australian actress plays the part of Lady Sarah Astley in (An unforgiving role, as she is required to portray a class-bound English aristocrat who succumbs to the charms of a rough Aussie drover, played by reigning hunk Hugh Jackman.)

Melanie Reid – The Times of London the movie has one huge problem: “Kidman is exquisitely accomplished at being awful. Did anyone see Cold Mountain? The sweeping American epic (note: another epic) foundered on the rocks of her gormless mirror-gaze. She can’t act. Instead, she drifts around films like a lost porcelain doll, looking frozen, brittle and vapid, staring at the camera with her oh-golly-look-how-I’m-looking-interesting blue eyes.”

Michael Phillips – Chicago Tribune the actress is “a brittle little snip just asking to be knocked off her pedestal. (Think Katharine Hepburn in The African Queen, without the facial expressivity.”

Nick Curtis – London Evening Standard “Sarah is not so much a character as a showcase for Kidman’s worst acting tics, all her prissy pouts and expressions of Botoxed startlement. And despite a wardrobe designed to offset her Barbie-perfect bosom, bottom and ironing-board hips, she has mutated into a curiously sexless screen presence.”

Germaine Greer – The Guardian “The scale of the disaster that is Baz Luhrmann’s Australia is gradually becoming apparent. When the film was released in Australia in November it found the odd champion, none more conspicuous than Marcia Langton, professor of Australian indigenous studies at Melbourne University, who frothed and foamed in the Age newspaper about this ‘fabulous, hyperbolic film.’ Luhrmann has ‘given Australians a new past,’ she gushed, “a myth of national origin that is disturbing, thrilling, heartbreaking, hilarious and touching”. Myths are by definition untrue. Langton knows the truth about the northern cattle industry but evidently sees as her duty to ignore it, and welcome a fraudulent and misleading fantasy in its place, possibly because the fantasy is designed to promote the current government policy of reconciliation, of which she is a chief proponent.”

We think Nichole could have shown a little more “Skin” (Tits & Ass).

WHY TNA WRESTLING IS BETTER THAN WWE

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

By: Mister Terrific
This past Monday night on WWE Raw was true DVR material. Celeb Gossip Kings at The-Deli have a few reasons why. There was about 5 minutes of programming worth watching. Again and again we see the same thing on Monday night Raw. An opening banter lasting 10-15 minutes of the broadcast. Followed by a match lasting 5 minutes. Their weekly “talkshow” the “Highlight Reel” hosted by Chris Jericho generally has a 5-10 minute slot in the second hour which in all reality should be non-stop wrestling. If WWE viewers actually survived the first hour they should be rewarded with a great main event. On Raw they generally wait until 9:50 or 9:55 p.m. to begin their main event, and their time slot ends at 10:05! This 10-15 minutes always has on the low end one commercial break. To say the least it doesn’t leave much time for any real action to take place.

TNA IMPACT THURSDAYS ON SPIKE!

Don’t forget to check out IMPACT! on Spike t.v. Thursday nights at 8 p.m. before more action on Ultimate Fighter! The Icon Sting and Big Sexy Kevin Nash take on Team 3d before the bloody massacre at LOCKDOWN when it’s 5 on 5 inside the SIX SIDES OF STEEL!

Incredible Dwayne Dopsie Rocks Famous Daves

Wowie – My My My – Zowie!

Dwayne Dopsie LiveChecking the schedule for Famous Daves is when we first heard about Wayne Dopsie. After checking his web site we decided to go, but we were not prepared for what the night had in store.

The place was unusually packed for a Saturday night, there were a couple parties there and the place was wall to wall. We managed to get a table in the back. When the band fired up, the crowd immediately hit the dance floor. The Zydeco Rhythm was infectious. Bus something was noticeably different about this band compared to other Zydeco acts that have come through.

Zydeco Hell Raisers Rock The House!

Dwayne Dopsie An The Zydeco Hellraisers

It didn’t take long to see that Dwayne, was a HOT player. While most accordion players I have seen are marginal to decent players who mostly play rhythm, this guy was a Lead player. He played the accordion, like a Hot Lead Guitarist. And he has got some Amazing Chops! All I can say is that I was Blown Away! This guy is Amazing.. You have got to see him Live to get the full experience.

Dwayne And Alex Rock Out!

And these guys Rock Out. Dwayne and most notably Alex the washboard player, (Skinny White Kid) put out so much energy, it completely Electrified the room! They broke into an immediate sweat and continued to power through 2/12 hours of Balls To The Walls High Energy Rockin Zydeco.
