Wesley Snipes Gets 3 Years In Jail

Actor Wesley Snipes, was sentenced to three years in prison on misdemeanor charges Thursday for willfully failing to file U.S. income tax returns for 1999 through 2001. Prosecutors said Snipes had earned more than $38 million since 1999 but still had not filed tax returns for the years 1999 through 2007 or paid any taxes.
Snipes told the judge “I am very sorry for my mistakes and errors,” adding “This will never happen again.”
Snipes brought character references from friends Denzel Washington and Woody Harrelson but that didn’t help, the Judge still gave him the maximum sentence allowable by law of 3 years in the Slammer!
