The undefeated Big Brown, who never ran better than third in today’s Belmont Stakes, made history by becoming the first Triple Crown hopeful to finish dead last in the Belmont Stakes. In fact, the colt sadly never crossed the finish line.
“It was hot as hell out there,” said Big Brown’s jockey Kent Desormeaux. He went on to say, “He was empty. He didn’t have anything left,” “I had no horse. He’s the best horse I’ve ever been on so I took care of him.”
Da’ Tara, with Jockey Alan Garcia in
the irons, raced to the Finish Line

June 2nd, 2008 — Drugs, John McEnroe, Melanie Griffith, Ryan O'Neal
In the latest in a series of Celeb Crack stories, Academy Award winning actress Tatum O’Neal has been busted for buying crack in New York City.
Celeb Gossip Kings has learned that the 44 year-old O’Neal was nabbed by cops scoring the illegal substance around 7:30 p.m. Sunday evening near her home on Clinton Street in the Lower East Side and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Police said they found bags of cocaine and crack in her possession. (Ouch!)
Arrested with her was 33-year-old Alan Garcia, who is believed to be the possible dealer.
Reports said the 44-year-old actress initially told police she was doing research for an upcoming role, (Yeah Right!) and that she pleaded to be let off the hook when the drugs were discovered.
This really comes as no surprise considering the life she has had. Oneal, who became the youngest Oscar winner in history when she won the best supporting actress award for 1973’s Paper Moon when she was 10, has had a terrible history of Drugs and Abuse that goes way back.
In her tell all book “A Paper Life” Oneal revealed she was sexually abused by a friend of her father Ryan O’Neal, dragged to an opium orgy at the age of 12 by film star Melanie Griffith and fought off advances from a young Michael Jackson (who thought she looked like a little a boy).
What A Life, O’Neal was married tennis star John McEnroe but claimed he took out his tennis court frustrations on her at home, sometimes beating her, an allegation which he later denied in his own autobiography.
We’ll see how this one Plays Out!
