The 27 year old former American Idol and Oscar winner, Jennifer Hudson said Thursday that she’s “honored” to be among the nominees for the 51st Annual Grammy Awards.

“It’s been a childhood dream of mine to release an album, so to receive four Grammy nominations is truly a blessing. I’m extremely honored and humbled by the nominations,” Hudson said in a statement released by Arista Records.
Hudson whose personal life has tragically overshadowed her professional accomplishments in recent weeks, self-titled debut is a contender for R&B Album of the Year, while the tune “Spotlight” has her in the running for Best R&B Song and Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. Hudson also shares a nomination for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group With Vocals for her duet with Fantasia on “I’m His Only Woman.”
A former contestant on hit US TV show “American Idol” was found dead outside the Los Angeles home of 46 year old Grammy Award winning singer Paula Abdul.

What appears to have been an obsessed fan of judge Paula Abdul has been found dead of an apparent suicide near the pop star’s home.
Police said they discovered the body of Paula Goodspeed, 30, in a car near Abdul’s Los Angeles home on Tuesday night.
“It appears to be a suicide by overdose [Drugs],” said Detective Robert Bub of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Abdul said in a statement that she was “deeply shocked and saddened” by Goodspeed’s death, and that her “heart and prayers go out to her family.”

Tragedy strikes Academy Award winning 27year old actress Jennifer Hudson’s mother, Darnell Hudson Donerson, 57, and brother, Jason S. Hudson, 29 were shot and killed in their Chicago home.

The bodies were discovered at at 2:44 PM Friday at 7019 S. Yale in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood.

Rumor is: an argument over a car being sold sparked the conflagration. The missing boy’s mother works as a bus driver and has not been seen.
A suspect: William Balfour, has been taken into custody. Balfour is currently out on parole after serving time for attempted murder. Police have issued an APB for Hudson’s 7-year-old nephew Julian King who may have been abducted by William Balfour. Reportedly, Balfour listed Hudson’s mother’s address as his residence within the last year.
Husdon was one of the finalists on the third season of the FOX television series American Idol.

American Idol winner 25 year old David Cook has been dating former Idol Contestant and TV Guide host 26 year old Kimberly Caldwell.
Cook on Live with Regis and Kelly, Cook recounted the evening, telling Philbin and Ripa, “I went out on a date the other day with a woman named Kimberly Caldwell. I did [have a good time]. We’ll probably hang out again. So we’ll see.”
Caldwell reportedly confessed prior to the date, “I’m obsessed with David Cook. I want to make out with him… a lot. And probably will.”
David Cook beat out his rival David Archuleta and was announced the winner of 2008 “American Idol” competition last night with a landside 12 Million Votes.
