In town to do promoted the premiere of his latest film, Burn After Reading, Brad Pitt was unexpectedly presented Wednesday with the Best Actor trophy he won last year for The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford during the opening ceremony of the 65th Venice International Film Festival.

Piytts Latest film Burn After Reading, is a dark comedy by Oscar winners the “Coen Brothers” (Joel Coen and Ethan Coen). Pitt costars with George Clooney, Frances McDormand and John Malkovich.

Award-winning actor-comedian Bernie Mac has died at age 50 from complications of pneumonia.  Best known for his role in films including “Ocean’s Eleven” and his award winning TV program “The Bernie Mac Show.”

“The world just got a little less funny,” said co-star George Clooney.  Carl Reiner, who also appeared in the “Ocean’s” films along with Brad Pitt, said he was “in utter shock” because he thought Mac’s health was improving.

Bernie Mac also had starring roles in “Bad Santa,” “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle” and “Transformers.”

Mac suffered from Sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells in the body’s organs, but had said the condition went into remission in 2005. He was recently hospitalized and treated for pneumonia, which his publicist said was not related to the disease.

George Clooney and Rene Zellweger stopped for a Press Conference in Duluth, MN on a “Whistle Stop” tour to promote their new movie Leatherheads.

Actors George Clooney and Renee Zellweger attend a news conference at a the Lake Superior Rail Museum in Duluth yesterday. Their new movie “Leatherheads,” is a comedy that is largely set in the Minnesota town, although it was filmed in North and South Carolina. In “Leatherheads,” which opens April 4, Clooney plays an aging player on the Duluth Bulldogs in 1925, while Zellweger plays a feisty Chicago newspaper reporter. The fans came out in force and screamed for the stars who arrived wearing period clothes reflecting the movie’s 1920s setting. The 46 -year-old actor and the 38-year-old actress had been rumored to have a romantic relationship which they both denied. Although there was a brief fling several years ago, they’re really just good friends. (Don’t worry Sarah)

Two time People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive and long-time Hollywood bachelor, George Clooney, is reportedly planning to marry Sarah Larson, his girlfriend since mid-2007. A Fear Factor winner, Larson met Clooney when she served him drinks at the Palm Casino Hotel in Las Vegas.

Maria Claire reported:

One restaurant worker in Laglio, the town where Clooney has a villa, said: ‘They haven’t made any announcement yet, but there are people in this town who know more than me. They say the couple are already engaged.’

Since Sarah met George she has ditched her £100,000-a-year job to join the jet-set, and has since enjoyed romantic trips to Venice, Dubaii, Miami and his Lake Como hideaway.

But it was the Oscars destination that really set tongues wagging: Sarah was the first woman to be invited to walk the red carpet with Clooney.

George previously enjoyed romances with Renée Zellweger and Lisa Snowdon but, the source says, he’s finally found someone ‘he wants to really give it a go with’.

Way to go George! George and Sarah, make a stunning couple.
